Table For Converting Wet Kilograms of Grain Corn to Dry Tonnes

The following table can be used to convert wet weights of grain corn, in kilograms, to the equivalent dry weight (15.5% moisture) in tonnes. To convert wet kilograms to dry tonnes, divide the wet weight by the appropriate divisor factor listed below. The divisor factors shown assume no invisible loss during drying. (A deduction for invisible loss during drying may be subtracted by some commercial elevators.) As an example, the divisor for corn at 25.8% moisture is 1,138.8. 10,000 kilograms of corn at 25.8% moisture is equivalent to 10,000 t 1,138.8 = 8.781 tonnes of corn at 15.5% moisture.
